In 1999 amongst the very heydays of Heidelberg’s graffiti movement, inflammable was born, being one of first shops for Graffiti Stuff ever to hit the internet. Followed by a fine sneaker and streetwear selection soon, inflammable nowadays belongs to a group of very few who managed to outlast a 16+ years period. If nothing else, because we always tried to see beyond our own nose. Thanks to a strong connection between different subcultures and music, fashion, graffiti & Co moving from friendly coexistence to a smooth conflation, We tried to cast our net wide. Of course personal interests played a minor part too. Anyway we started doing projects with different partners and friends from the music scene soon. The „Sneaker King EP“ with german rapper Prinz Pi or the „inflammable Mixtape Sessions“ with the likes of Dexter, Suff Daddy and Brenk Sinatra to name a few examples. Since we always look out for the opportunity to support good art/music/people and we like the thought of giving back something to the community that supported us for over 16 years, we’re now proud to announce our latest collaboration with the good people and homies from Jakarta Records.
Jakarta Records – founded in 2005 by Jannis and Malte – is known as one of the most respected independent Record Labels in Germany and way beyond. Their passionate and dedicated work combined with an exceptional great taste for good music is almost unprecedented, making people all over the world recognizing and loving the Jakarta kind of vibe. Over the years they managed to gather a roster with some of the most promising players in music there are, releasing music from Kaytranada, Suff Daddy, Mura Masa, IAMNOBODI, Ivan Ave, Olivier St. Louis, Juju Rogers and many more. In Summer 2014 they started their seasonal Mixtape Series with a compilation of unreleased Tracks and exclusive material from the Jakarta Artist Network & Family, called „Summer in Jakarta“. Known for sticking to solid Vinyl Releases and their love for old school vibes, it was only right to produce real tapes for this special release. Followed by „Winter in Jakarta“ in December of the same year and „Autumn in Jakarta“ in November 2015, we’re now in the middle of the final edition: „Spring in Jakarta“.
