The Three Stripes brand has been ridiculously good at the concept of collaborations. Their partnership portfolio includes some of the biggest names in several sectors of media.
As far as music is concerned, Yeezy might be the first name that comes to mind. With that being said, we cannot forget about the flourishing pair of adidas and Pharrell Williams.
Since the early days of the boisterous Superstar models, Williams has been crushing the casual/ fashionable sneaker game for adidas. The mega-producer’s work with the Supercolor model was the stuff of advertising dreams. We also cannot forget about the Human Race NMD that dominated forums and sneaker publications alike.
Most recently, the partnership has set their sights on a brand new addition to the catalogue: the Tennis Hu. This model is representative of what adidas has been doing lately, adding new flavor to classic silhouettes.
The sock-like, one piece build features a breathable mesh. Underfoot is a classic EVA that supports your strides. Just above that cushion is a midsole that features a textured design. Though there are serious NMD vibes here – and why wouldn’t there be? – the new sneaker stands on its own among the brand’s deep catalogue.
Sure enough, this is part of Williams latest collection with adidas. That set of releases involves a new look into the stylings of contemporary tennis stars. But, more importantly, this is also a piece of what adidas continues to strive for: becoming the new casual.
